My Graduate

Okay...so, I'm a little late on this, but it's never too late to brag on your kids...right?? ;OP

Brittany just graduated Magna Cum Laude from Navarro College, about 3 weeks ago. She got her Associates Degree in general studies and will now go on to UTSA to get her Bachelor's. She was only .17 away from making Summa Cum Laude....I AM SO VERY PROUD OF HER!!!!

This is Brittany and her Pops! He's very proud too!!

And this is Brittany and her little sister, Emily.....

Isn't she beautiful?? It was a rough road but she made it and I am so very proud of the young woman she has become and am anxious to be a part of all the new chapters in her life..WAY TO GO BRITTANY!! I love you!!

I Heart Faces ~ "My Favorite Face Photo"

This week's theme over at I Heart Faces is "My Favorite Face Photo."

I have sooo many actual favorite "faces" in my collection that I wasn't sure which to pick...so, since this one of my niece and nephew, JT and Emma, making a face for the camera always makes me smile, I thought I'd share it with you, so you could have a smile, as well.

Enjoy!

~Walk Down Memory Lane~

Wednesday's Walk Down Memory Lane

Come for a walk with me down Memory Lane!
And if you have a "Memory Lane" post, head on over to Scottsville to join in on the fun!

This week my walk down memory lane is of my oldest, Brittany. I love this picture of her, which was taken when she was about 1 1/2 years old. She LOVED to drag out every pot, pan, AND lid, in the house everynight and pretend to cook. She would even sometimes accessorize with wooden spoons, and as you can see below, my oven mitts..LOL...I also have some of her "standing" in the pans, which she also liked to do, but haven't had the time to scan them in yet.

Isn't she the cutest!?? Funny thing...she can't cook a lick now...LOL...

A Walk Down Memory Lane...

Wednesday's Walk Down Memory Lane

This week's walk down memory lane for me is the picture below of my brother, myself, my sister and Marty (my Mom's step-grandson). As you can see I was very young...about 18 years old, and pregnant with Brittany. And this was my baby shower, thrown by my Mom and friends from school.

No, my hair is NOT that short, it is pulled back in a banana clip...do you remember those wonderful inventions?? LOL.....Anyway, it amazes me how young my siblings and I look...well, okay, so we were ALL young...LOL...

I Heart Faces - "Laughter"

This week's theme over at I Heart Faces is "Laughter."

This pic of Chris and the girls was taken about 1 1/2 years ago at Lake Whitney. I took the girls up one weekend to see Chris, because he was working there and Andy and his crew drove up and spent the day with us. We had a GREAT time!! I love this pic, because the girls are laughing and having a great time with their dad!

And this one was taken of me and Chris, totally spontaneously and we were joking and having a good time, at home one day. I hate it of me, because of my snout-like profile, but love that we look so happy and like we're having the best time. This one was also taken about 1 1/2 years ago...

I need to take pics more often, huh? LOL

A Walk Down Memory Lane...

Wednesday's Walk Down Memory Lane

Come for a walk with me down Memory Lane!
And if you have a "Memory Lane" post, head on over to Scottsville to join in on the fun!

I know it's a day late, but I have been totally busy this week at work....imagine that! Actually having to work for a living...LOL...

Anyway, here's my memory for this week.

It is a picture I took of my Paw-Paw, Jacob and Brittany, a month before he sadly succumbed to liver cancer. He was a funny, loving and caring person, who loved his family above all else. He's not smiling here, but he always had a smile, and often a joke to brighten his grandkids, and great-grandkids, day. That day was very special to me. The kids and I spent it with him and it will never be forgotten, nor will he.

We miss you Paw-Paw and you are still here in our hearts!
